Meagan LaBerge - Operations Coordinator & Manager, Certified Pet Care Technician,  Pet First Aid Certified

Meagan has always had a passion for animals, even when she was a little girl and wanted to be a veterinarian.  As she began to grow up her interests changed but her love of animals did not!  Meagan is currently a Physician Assistant and oversees operations at Lucky Bones. She and her husband have three cats Tino, Bailee & Virtue.  Meagan and Ronnie also have a 2 yr old Doberman named Cole who is spoiled rotten!  Biscuit is a terrier mix & was a rescue that stole Meagan & Ronnie's hearts, so they adopted her in April 2010.

 

Jennifer Douglas - Front Office, Certified Pet Care Technician, Pet First Aid  Certified, EMT(Equine Massage Therapy)

Jennifer worked as a Radiology Technologist in New Jersey before she moved to Mount Airy about 5 1/2 years ago.  She is now working on completing her Bachelor in Arts degree at Salem College in Winston Salem.  Her true passion has always been animals so she was thrilled to find a no-kill rescue right here in Surry County.  She has been working with Surry Animal Rescue for the past 5 years and finds it very rewarding to work with such a wonderful group of volunteers.  Jennifer has been a Certified Equine Massage Therapist for 8 years and is working on her Sports Canine Massage Therapy Certification. She is pictured here with her "furry children" from left to right: Sheba and Bailey. She also has Pinky, Kiki, Bernard, Angus, Tater, & Kahlua.

 

Vickie & Kelly Burhenn - Front office, Pet Care Technicians,

& Pet First Aid Certified

Vickie came to us in July 2010 to assist in the office and we love her! She has 2 dogs Buster and Sophie, a Mix and a Cocker Spaniel. Kelly came to us also in 2010 and the dogs love it when he is here on the weekends!  Vickie & Kelly enjoy spending time with their grandchildren!

 

     

 

Chelsey Brintle - Pet Care Technician, Pet First Aid Certified

Chelsey is a true Southern Belle!  She has a dog named Buster who is sweeter than pie! She also has a kitty named Larry.  She is currently enrolled in classes pursuing her paralegal degree.  She has lived in North Carolina all of her life and enjoys spending her time with Family and cooking!  She makes a wonderful edition to LBCC!

 

 

 

 

 

McKenzie Collins - Pet Care Technician / Grooming Department/ Pet First Aid Certified

McKenzie graduated from North Stokes High

School in 2008.  She has attended

Florence Darlington Technical College and will be transitioning to Guilford Tech in the fall to study Dental Assisting. McKenzie has a cocker spaniel and a boxer named BOBO & Caliey. She is a native of Westfield, NC where she grew up on a farm with cows & goats. McKenzie is an integral part of our team!!!!

 

 

 

 

Kayla Boles - Certified Pet Care Technician / Grooming Department/ Pet First Aid Certified

Kayla recently finished school in South Carolina and is pursuing her degree in Radiology. She has a cocker spaniel named Hershey, a Boxer named Madison & 1 Chinchilla named Big Chia. Kayla has a special passion for animals. We love Kayla!

 

 

 

 

Tiffany Helton - Pet Care Technician/ Pet First Aid Certified

Tiffany graduated in 2009 from North Surry High Schoo. She is pursuing her passion by working with animals!  She has 2 dogs: a Dachshund named Peanut and a Lab Mix named Tucker. I also have 4 hamsters named Lil Momma, Lil Bit, Jack, and Casper. Tiffany is a true "Country Girl". She loves spending time with her family, friends, and doggies too!  We are glad to have Tiffany!

 

 

 

Julia Meredith - Pet Care Technician/ Pet First Aid Certified/ CTMT

Julia is originally from Winston-Salem but is currently residing in Meadows of Dan with her husband and 3 dogs. She has a background in Social Work but also spent 7 years at All Pets Considered in Greensboro.  She is currently Certified in Canine Therapeutic Massage. We are excited to have Julia as one of our awesome employees!!!!

 

 

 

Chelsea Palfreeman - Pet Care Technician

 

Chelsea is currently a Senior at Mount Airy High School. She moved to Mount Airy in the Summer of 2008. She has always loved animals and has an adorable Bichon named Elliott who loves attention. Chelsea enjoys playing golf and basketball, and being with family and friends. Chelsea joined the LBCC staff in January of 2011 and enjoys every minute of it.
